Rachel graduated from the University of Virginia in 2014 with a degree in English and Media Studies and received her Master of Arts in English from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2016. She started her publishing career working for the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Transportation Research Board in Washington, DC before returning to Charlottesville and joining the UVA Press in 2021.
